What this is about
Creators whose agency works with CreatorOffice can connect their professional Instagram account in the creator portal. You sign in directly with Instagram; CreatorOffice only receives the permissions instagram_business_basic (profile) and instagram_business_manage_insights (insights), never your password and no messages. This page explains which data CreatorOffice stores as a result and how to have it deleted.
Which data we store
Profile: username, name, biography, website, account type, number of followers and posts. Insights: daily metrics of your account (for example accounts reached, views and interactions), period values over 7, 14, 30 and 90 days, the audience of your followers only in aggregate by age, gender, country and city, and your posts from the last 90 days with link and metrics. In addition, the Instagram access key; it is stored encrypted and can only be read by the automatic sync. You and your agency can see the numbers; brands only receive areas you explicitly allow.
Delete immediately: disconnect in the creator portal
Open Instagram in the creator portal and choose “Disconnect”. CreatorOffice then immediately deletes the access key and all Instagram data for your profile, including the monthly values. Running shares with brands end at the same moment.
Remove access in Instagram
You can also revoke CreatorOffice’s access in Instagram: in the Instagram app under Settings and activity, then Website permissions, Apps and websites, remove CreatorOffice there. Instagram notifies us automatically. We then immediately delete the access key, the daily, post and audience values and end all shares with brands. Only the monthly totals (views, interactions, followers at month end) remain until you request their deletion.
Request deletion via Instagram
If you also request the deletion of your data when removing the app in Instagram, Meta forwards this request to us. We then delete all Instagram data for your account completely, including the monthly totals, and Instagram shows you a confirmation code starting with TK-. With this code you can check the status at any time on our data deletion status page.
Deletion by email
You can also request deletion informally by email to [email protected]. Please state your Instagram username and the agency you work with. We confirm the deletion within 30 days, usually much sooner.
Retention without a request
Even without a deletion request we keep raw Instagram data (daily values, posts, audience, period values) for at most 90 days; after that only monthly totals remain. We delete the log of share views after 180 days and the record of a deletion request (only confirmation code and timestamps) after twelve months.
